Lucky Duck Make-Up-O-Rama!

What We Did Today

Hello! 👋

^^^ Lucky duck!

In Class/Google Meet:

We had a  bit of fun watched an episode of Sleep Hollow, while making up any missing work and possibly earning some extra credit.

It’s all about making sure Quarter 4 gets off to a good start, whether it’s from building up some extra credit or making up missing assignments.

First priority is on missing assignment and notes. Check Google Classroom and Infinite Campus to see what you are missing.

If all of your work is done (YAY!), you might want to dig into the extra credit opportunities that are available.

Here are some St. Patrick’s Day themed doses of extra credit.

Option 1:

Choose three St. Patrick’s Day traditions (ex. wearing costumes, etc). For each tradition, check out the article, St. Patrick’s Day: Origins, Meaning, & Celebrations to find out how the holiday got started. Summarize where three holiday traditions began and how they changed over time. Write your list and historical connections on the doc provided on Google Classroom.

Option 2:

If you are in class, we are watching one of my faovrite shows that has historical references.

Sleepy Hollow – Episode 2

  • Create a list of 10 historical references made throughout the show. Your list can include references from Ichabod Crane as he talks about his past or they can reference differences between Crane’s time period and our own. Write your list on the doc provided on Google Classroom.
  • The show streams on Hulu, so if you can, watch at home if you are attending class online. 🙂
