Agenda: Intro Discussion

Now that we’ve gathered evidence, made observations, and analyzed the information for the worlds major belief systems , the process of creating a hypothesis for the essential question begins. We talked about how to possibly answer the question and how to organize your thoughts.

We focused on how to create an outline to help organize your ideas.

During this unit, we will be using historical thinking skills to gain an understanding of differing belief systems and begin to speculate how religion influences historical events. After all, if there’s understanding of what a group of people believes in, their decisions and actions make a little more sense!

DOK2: Demonstrate an apporpriate use of an atlas.

I can apply geographic skills to everyday life, (i.e. time zones, road map)

Agenda:

We discussed that geography is might be something we  use on a daily basis without even realizing it! We talked about time zones and road maps and how they are an essential part of life.

First, we started with a little practice with time zones. Let’s see if we can navigate a typical day in Mrs. Davis’ life!
